Agricultural Commission
The Franklin Agricultural Commission promotes, develops, and fosters agricultural resources in the Town of Franklin.

Board of Assessors
Establish and maintain valuations for all real and personal property within the community for purposes of generating tax revenues.

The Franklin Health Department is charged with protecting the public health and well-being of the community, in accordance with federal, state, and local public health laws and regulations.

The Charles River Pollution Control District is a regional wastewater treatment plant located in Medway, Massachusetts.

The Commission advocates for persons with disabilities in the Town of Franklin and educates others on sensitive issues in dealing with the disabled.

Community Preservation Committee
The Community Preservation Act was passed in 2000 to help communities empower themselves to raise a dedicated revenue source for the purposes of open space preservation, historic preservation, affordable housing and recreation.

The Conservation Commission is the official agency specifically charged with the protection of Franklin’s wetland resource areas, Conservation Areas, and Open Space.

Cultural Council
The Franklin Cultural Council is always seeking residents who are interested in enriching our community through the arts and sciences as a member of the FCC.

Cultural District Committee
Town Council established the Franklin Cultural District Committee on June 28, 2017 to attract artists and cultural enterprises, encourage business and job development, establish the district as a tourist destination, preserve and reuse historic buildings, enhance property values, and foster local cultural development.

Davis-Thayer Building Reuse Committee
The Davis-Thayer Building Reuse Advisory Committee will evaluate potential strategies and future uses for the building and the parcel of land it is located on.

Design Review Commission
The Design Review Commission (DRC) is a committee of Citizen Volunteers that has approval authority on signage and recommendation input to the Planning Board on Site Plans as to landscaping and lighting and Building Plans as to exterior design, colors and materials.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee makes recommendations to the Town Council on all financial matters.

Historical Commission
The Historical Commission provides for the preservation, protection, and development of the historic and archaeological assets of Franklin.

Housing Authority
The Franklin Housing Authority manages 161 units of State-Aided Elderly/Disabled Housing, 33 units of low-income Family Housing, and an 8-unit Group Home. Additionally, the housing Authority is responsible for a four-bedroom congregate facility.

Library Board of Directors
The purpose of the Library Board of Directors is for providing input and ideas to the Town Administrator related to Library Services provided by the Town of Franklin.

Municipal Affordable Housing Trust
The Franklin Municipal Affordable Housing Trust has capabilities to receive, hold, invest or expend funds for the rehabilitation, renovation, construction, financing or refinancing of property within the Town of Franklin making these residential properties available to low and moderate income families looking for an affordable home.

The Norfolk County Advisory Board represents the cities and towns in budget, capital planning, and other matters.

Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
The Zoning Board of Appeals holds Public Hearings for variance requests, special permits (including gravel removal) and Chapter 40B applications and makes determinations on land use and zoning issues.
